Broadway stars wore their best outfits and jewellery on the “pink” carpet at the Tonys.

There was a lot of controversy regarding the 2023 Tony Awards as they had a “will they, won’t they” dynamic for a while due to the ongoing writers’ strike. Ultimately though, in true Broadway fashion, the show must go on. The scene’s brightest stars glammed up in matching ensembles and gathered on Sunday, June 11 for the 76th annual Tony Awards, hosted by West Side Story and Hamilton star Ariana DeBose for the second year in a row. DeBose acknowledged that due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike, the event was held without scripts. “I’m live and unscripted – you’re welcome! So, for anyone who felt like last year was a little unhinged, I say, darlings, buckle up!” commented DeBose near the end of the show.

Held at the United Palace in Washington Heights, Manhattan, for Broadway’s biggest night, many big names in the industry showed up in their best clothes. Jessica Chastain was dazzling! The Hollywood actress walked the red carpet in a mesmerizing yellow Gucci gown with a plunging front and stone detailing. And speaking of stones, glitter and sequins reigned on the pink carpet of the awards, as was the case with Michele Williams, Ariana DeBose, and Jodie Comer with their eye-catching outfits from Louis Vuitton to Thom Browne.

Lily Rabe wore a blue and black Erdem look for the 2023 Tony Awards. The pale blue of the dress shimmered just enough to catch the light and contrasted sharply with the actress’ black leather gloves.
