Operating the upscale hotel chain known as The Ritz-Carlton is the American multinational firm The Ritz-Carlton Hotel firm, LLC. In 1911, the Ritz-Carlton announced plans to expand to Philadelphia and Atlantic City. The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia, designed by Horace Trumbauer and Warren & Wetmore, opened in 1913 at Broad and Walnut streets. The Ritz-Carlton Montreal debuted in 1912, but Keller did not own it because it was in Canada. Keller’s Ritz-Carlton Atlantic City first opened its doors in 1921.
