We’re Obsessed with These 6 Spring-Summer Fashion Trends
These are the spring-summer 2023 fashion trends seen on the big runways.

Spring and summer are the perfect seasons to update your closet and add new and exciting pieces that will turn heads in the coming months. As Fashion Week progressed around the world, New York, London, Milan and then Paris, now we have incredibly-inspiring looks to try.
On the runways, we saw low-rise waists on pants and skirts paired with ultra-short tops, which generated a wave of 2000s nostalgia. Sheer layers also continued to rule the world, with mesh overlays at Erdem and dresses with exposed lingerie at Tom Ford. Of course, quintessential spring textures in the mix, such as head-to-toe floral prints, took centre stage at Carolina Herrera and 3D floral motifs at Loewe.
Fashion month certainly didn’t disappoint. From the light pink hues and cutouts at Victoria Beckham’s Paris Fashion Week debut to the sequins and shimmering textures at Brandon Maxwell and Richard Quinn, there are plenty of SS23 trends that we can’t wait to take advantage of.
We’ve rounded up the top trends that grabbed our attention. Check out the best spring-summer 2023 fashion trends straight from the runways.
SUPER SEQUINS
While sequin season may traditionally fall in December to coincide with the seemingly endless stream of holiday parties, 2023 is tearing up the rule book and declaring spring/summer the perfect time for a little glitz and glamour. From Margot Robbie, Jennifer Hudson, and Michelle Yeoh to Angela Bassett, to name just a few A-list celebrities, they were of great inspiration, adorned in sequins on both red carpets and street style.

FLOWER MOOD
This Spring 2023 season runway shows were filled with 3D floral embroidery, appliqués and ruffles in the shape of flowers, making this trend interesting again. Brands like Acne Studios, Loewe and Dries Van Noten took florals into the third dimension, adding delicate rosette details to otherwise more minimalist pieces.

CANDY PINK
Barbie pink was a 2022 winter fashion trend, but in 2023, pink is lighter and more muted. Chanel and Stella McCartney brought models with pastel pink jackets and jumpsuits, respectively. Fendi Couture’s pale pink translucent dresses were the ideal romantic look.

SHEER VIBES
The trend of sheer fabrics has been popular for several seasons, but it’s expected to be even more prominent for the spring/summer 2023 season. This trend involves using sheer fabrics for dress overlays to create a dramatic effect over a simple evening slip, or even for more daring lingerie-inspired pieces.

RAYS OF SUNSHINE
The spring/summer runway was dominated by a romantic colour trend that featured a soft sunset ombré effect, which unexpectedly became a hit. This trend showcased reds blending into oranges, yellows, and whites, providing a warm and optimistic contrast to the chilly winds outside during the September shows.

LOW-RISE WAISTS
Considered one of the most popular fashion trends in the 90s, low-rise waists are back, and they are definitely going to define the season in style. This trend is applied in a variety of clothing items, including jeans, suits, shorts, and evening skirts.
