Fall/Winter 2023: Best Fashion Shows Highlights

Fashion Week has taken over New York City once again with Fall-Winter 2023 runway shows from brands such as Rodarte, LaQuan Smith and Tory Burch.

Christian Siriano

From February 10 to 15, New York became the world epicentre of fashion with the celebration of New York Fashion Week. A fashion week that leaves behind all kinds of restrictions associated with the pandemic and recovers the splendour of past editions with wonderful collections, not only demonstrating the talent and glamour of some designers but also showing the trends that hit hard this week and that will be essential to know what to wear this 2023.

Brands such as Dion Lee, Anna Sui, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Coach, Gabriela Hearst, Jason Wu Collection, KHAITE, Michael Kors, Prabal Gurung, LaQuan Smith, Proenza Schouler, Sergio Hudson and Ulla Johnson previewed major trends.

World-renowned designer Christian Siriano filled his runway with thousands of multicoloured flowers and put Audrey Hepburn-worthy wide-brimmed hats on some of his models to top off a great week. “I didn’t want them to be literally rose prints all over, but things have an Audrey idea and a floral motif. So, that was the plan. That was the goal. We have some floral prints, but there’s still darkness and coolness to it.” For its part, Tory Burch took everyday looks and jazzed them up with bold elements like flowing midi skirts, brocade jackets, matching shorts and satin in bold hues. In fact, brands such as LaQuan Smith and Dion Lee opted for a more sensual approach with bold silhouettes highlighting the interplay between bold sexuality and sensuality.

Clearly, New York Fashion Week got off to a satisfying start, with designers from all over serving up a delightful array of fabulous clothes from the fall/winter 2023 collections.
