This Sunday, the British Academy Film Awards (Bafta) was presented by the British Academy of Arts in London. The gala was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London and hosted by actor Richard E. Grant and television presenter Alison Hammond.

The star of the awards night was Cate Blanchett, who won the BAFTA for Best Actress for her role in Tár.

The A-listers brought some of their best looks to the red carpet. While Princess Kate caught the attention of many in an elegant Alexander McQueen look, stars like Austin Butler and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also wore standout ensembles. The big star of the night, Butler, for his film Elvis, arrived on the red carpet of the British Film Awards in a tuxedo with satin lapels and booties that stole the show. Anya Taylor-Joy dazzled in her voluminous Schiaparelli cape, Ana de Armas wore a deconstructed satin dress, while Florence Pugh opted for bright orange to not go unnoticed on the red carpet.

And as expected, the trends of the moment and the most anticipated made their biggest appearance. Transparencies, defiant necklines, maximalist designs, tulle, feathers, opera gloves, and lots and lots of glitter and pearls. “The Queen’s Gambit” actress Anya Taylor-Joy stole the show in a Schiaparelli look that can only be described as ‘blanket core’: it featured a shimmering beige-brown sculpted mini dress with a matching cape and strappy heels. She completed the look with a gold necklace.

Supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley turned up the heat in a gorgeous all-black Maison Alaia look. She wore a high-necked bodycon top and a long black skirt that sported daring scalloped cutouts. She also wore strappy heels.

PRINCE WILLIAM & KATE MIDDLETON

Kate Middleton and Prince William made their BAFTA red carpet debut as the Prince and Princess of Wales. To mark her return to the awards show at London’s Royal Albert Hall, Kate Middleton wore a white Alexander McQueen one-shoulder gown. She completed the look with long black gloves and gold jewelry, including earrings from Zara. For his part, William wore an elegant black suit with bow tie and matching shoes.

Actress Ana de Armas always manages to look effortlessly beautiful and classy, and Sunday night was no exception to the rule. She wore a pale pink satin dress, which clung to her figure and boasted sweet ruffle detailing at the bodice. She completed the look with a diamond necklace.

Cate Blanchett looked elegant and classy on the BAFTA red carpet. For the occasion, The Best Actress nominee sported a black dress with soft fringing on the sleeves and accessorised her look with layered pearl necklaces.

“The Wonder” star, Florence Pugh, looked beautiful on the Bafta’s red carpet this year. For the occasion, she opted for a bright orange, sheer, form-fitting Nina Ricci gown, with a tulle bustier, designed by Harris Reed. She completed her look with a dainty diamond necklace and earrings by Tiffany & Co. She also wore a Raphael’s “Venyx” handbag.
