ETRO Presented its Nordic-inspired Pre-Fall 2022 Collection
Creative director Veronica Etro took inspiration from the Nordic countries for her enchanting Pre-Fall 2022 collection.

Creative Director Veronica Etro and her brother Kean unveiled their latest Etro Pre-Fall 2022 Collection campaign titled “Nordic New-Normal”. It featured and focused on a wintry, outdoor inspiration that the creative director refused to link to any specific country or culture. “It’s like a celebration of everything Nordic,” said Veronica.
Veronica Etro’s work is now more focused than ever on taking her family’s legacy a step further, keeping her style fundamentals firmly at the center of her vision. “It’s about constantly crafting and expanding our lexicon of wanderlust and bohemian with novelty and a fresh spirit,” she said.

A self-described hippie, Veronica remains a proponent of the flowing dresses that have become one of the label’s signatures. For pre-fall, she gave them a slightly dramatic twist and presented them alongside new versions of classic Etro staples. On offer were languid loungewear-inspired tunics, loose-fitting pajama suits, elegant kaftan dresses and kimono jackets in sumptuous printed velvets or elaborate jacquards with a silvery sheen.

Military jackets with maxi pockets were also present, mainly in mannish cargo pants. The Etro’s signature maxidresses were featured prints, giving the pieces an airy, breezy feel.
As regards accessories, the brand included knitted collars to under jackets and ponchos to embroidered belts, full of “a folk feeling”. Boots highlighted the cosy, versatile look spirit of this appealing collection.
