Freedom, elegance and extravaganza are key words for the SS22’ Menswear fashion trends.

If Spring/Summer 2021 was supposed to be free and relaxed, with jogging suits and extra-wide comfortable trousers, then the new season 2022 is coming up with new styles as a way to give us something different from the never-ending pandemic times we’re all living through.

Fortunately, the Spring/Summer 2022 comes with physical shows and in a big way, bringing a breath of fresh air to the fashion world. Creative energy and optimism remain watchwords for the current season, which also aims to reconnect the social lives we’ve missed over the past two years.

Creative Designers from all over the world are working hard to provide us with new and fresh proposals. Most brands are introducing new colours, silhouettes and prints for men such as tulle, cutouts, transparencies, jumpsuits, dust coats, all of them in different prints and vibrant colours. Collections are aimed to create pieces that express freedom, glamour and style. Let’s not forget the bold spirit of designers this season, bringing otherwise feminine pieces to the heart of men’s wardrobes.

EASY SUITING

The urban formal suit is always in fashion, but this season the suit takes on an even more relaxed style. This does not detract from its elegance; the slouchy suit is less rigorous, more elastic, and comfortable without sacrificing style. It is a celebration of unstructured suits, which does not abandon the silhouette overall.

CUT OUTS

For this season, Fendi unveiled their men’s collections and dare us to wear less. One of the fashion statements of summer 2022 was indeed the cutout pieces.

Between scissor cuts, holes, indentations, and straps, a new concept of masculinity is being brought forth by designers this season. 

DUST COATS

Dior proposes the large, light, and casual: the dust coat, inspired by the trench coat, the peacoat, and the parka. It is specially designed to face any climatic event with style.

JUMPSUITS

Fashion brands Brioni proposes once again the jumpsuits. They are making a big comeback this season, and we almost forgot about it. Most of the time jumpsuits are inspired by the workwear outfit, but this time the jumpsuit goes from the oversized utilitarian style to the regressive short version. 

BLACK AND WHITE

Black and White are truly making a comeback, thanks to Ludovic De Saint Sernin and nothing could be more elegant. Simplicity can be expected in this colour palette, but more daring wearers can bring black-and-white to new levels with a little experimentation.

SHOWING SKIN

Ludovic De Saint Sernin proposes transparent pieces for the collection, between the lace details, sheer fabrics, and bold indiscretion of the pieces.

BRIGHT COLOURS

Dolce Gabbana comes up with a mixture of vivid colours and patterns in their designs, from pastel to fluorescent. For those who aren’t ready to push their limits yet, there’s still the option to incorporate a pop of colour in an otherwise neutral outfit.
