The 6 Times Anne Hathaway emulated “The Devil Wears Prada”
We miss you, Andy and Miranda.

Anne Hathaway has us dreaming of 2006. She almost looks like she took a step back in time in her latest Instagram post, where she debuts new wispy bangs and a collared floral mini dress a lá Andy Sachs. The Hollywood star’s latest look reminded fans of one of her most famous roles. With the help of her stylist Erin Walsh, she donned a sleek yet whimsical look that had us thinking of Andrea Sachs, Hathaway’s lead role in the film The Devil Wears Prada.
On January 14th, 2022, the actress seemingly turned back the pop-culture clock when she donned a Miranda Priestly-approved Valentino outfit. She also wore Bulgari’s jewellery, which summoned her Andy Sachs days with a defining style element. Fans immediately noticed a resemblance between Hathaway’s and Andy’s style when posted the ensemble on Instagram.
“Andy? Is that you? 😆😉,” one person commented. Someone else wrote, “Oh Andy, you look so Chic! ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Since the start of 2022, the actress has continued to give fans of “The Devil Wears Prada” what they want or desire — all the high-end glitz and glam with a few ‘groundbreaking’ florals for spring.
Let’s have a look at some of her 6 most memorable moments where we can clearly remember Andy Sachs.

“The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert
The actress wore a colourful and psychedelic-inspired look during her interview with Stephen Colbert. The look by Christopher John Rogers consisted of a blazer, corset and a pair of palazzo trousers — all of which multi-coloured gradient polka-dot prints. She also carried Versace’s La Medusa Mini Bag in a turquoise shade.

“WeCrashed” press tour in New York City
Anne Hathaway looked très chic (and Sachs) in a long black Burberry trench coat, leather pants and dainty blue neck scarf. But unlike her The Devil Wears Prada character, the actress looked happy to be going about business. She paired her NYC Cool Girl look with black studded ankle boots and accessorised with a Bulgari bag.

“WeCrashed” premiere in Austin, Texas
She wore a shimmery Versace gown. The sleeveless, V-cut dress featured a glistening Medusa embellishment and on-trend cut-outs at her waist. She styled (and accessorised) like ’70s muse and actress Jane Birkin with natural makeup and effortless hair. She complemented the outfit with a tiny beaded bag.

“Milan” Fashion Week
Anne Hathaway looked as dominant and sophisticated as the fictional editor-in-chief when she attended the Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 22 show at Milan Fashion Week. Styling her hair in a ’60s-set voluminous bouffant, Hathaway also sported similarly dark and large sunglasses to that of Miranda. The actress also wore an all-over black ensemble, consisting of a black blazer, matching blouse and trousers. She contrasted the look with a silver bag and silver stilettos.

Photoshoot, Jan 2022
Hathaway wore a cute collared floral mini dress with a black knee-length wool coat, both by Valentino. Hathaway completed the look with sheer Wolford tights and black Giuseppe Zanotti platform boots. She is accessorised with Bulgari jewellery and a bright yellow Valentino bag.

“Locked Down” Film Premiere
Hathaway looked positively Sachs chic wearing gold, rose gold and gun-metal metallic gowns by Azzaro, Versace (pictured left) and Vivienne Westwood.
