Ralph Lauren presented its Fall/Winter 22 collection with an in-person runway show held in New York City.

Reuniting this fashion season at the Museum of Modern Art, Ralph Lauren launched its Fall-Winter Ready-To-Wear 2022 collection with a reflection of classic American luxury.

The brand chose a background that offered sleek architecture and sculpture design to showcase its newest runway collection. The show streamed online on their official Instagram account. The first show of Ralph Lauren since the pandemic took place at the heart of New York City in the Museum of Modern Art.

I think the world is wanting some warmth,” Lauren said during a preview. “And for the cleanliness and sleekness of the clothes, the black-and-white sensibility, MoMA was the perfect place,” he added, joking that his actual apartment is “a lot smaller.

For the decoration of the event, Ralph Lauren opted for his living room, bedroom designs and furniture, from coffee tables to books. The newly launched collection was a bit of an extravaganza.

The A-list of VIPs invited included: Jessica Chastain, Euphoria famed Angus Cloud, Lily Collins, Janelle Monáe, Zoey Deutsch and many more. Beyond the intimate atmosphere, Lauren’s new collection served as a reminder of his skillset for timeless, classic and tailored garments.

My Fall/Winter 2022 Collection is a celebration of the timeless style of black and white emboldened in the sleek lines of tailored silhouettes for both men and women,” says Ralph Lauren. “As we come back together, I wanted to share it in an intimate environment within the iconic beauty of The Museum of Modern Art in New York City.” He added.

The RL Fall-Winter 2022 collection infused a touch of romance and the American Spirit with the pops of red that emerge in the black and white palette that dominates across the fashion line. Moreover, Ralph Lauren celebrated the charm of personal style through this season of Women’s Collection and Men’s Purple Label, where details became the truest form of self-expression. Menswear-inspired patterns such as pinstripes, houndstooth, and tartan plaids are paired back to hyper-feminine tops. Besides, elsewhere in the collection were womenswear pieces like regal gowns, contemporary pantsuits, skirts and blouses with ribbon attachments.

The collection itself carried off a subtle gentleman look with a touch of elegance. The tuxedo-inspired looks were highlights of the show with hints of the Equestrian theme. The spectacular black and red gown with a huge Bow at the back was a crowning highlight.

Gigi Hadid opened the show with Ralph Lauren Collection, stacked intarsia monogram and a graphic motif of ‘RL’. The ‘RL’ motif was seen repeatedly on the garments of the collection. The fine tailoring was one of the most conspicuous features of the show.

Vittoria Ceretti closed the show wearing a Yankees cap and bomber jacket expressing Ralph Lauren’s childhood in the Bronx. Directly under the skyscrapers in New York City, the show went gracefully with brands close friends and colleagues.

The Women’s Collection incorporates refined luxury. Taking the modern woman from day to evening with ease. Evening wear is prominent throughout the collection and reflected an enduring elegance.

As regards accessories, Ralph Lauren presented The Wellington Handbags, which debuted on the runway with new seasonal iterations such as the Doctor Bag. Jessica Chastain was seen wearing a Ralph Lauren Collection beaded jumpsuit with a tuxedo jacket, carrying a black Wellington handbag.

Within the ready-to-wear category, footwear came in two-tone designs of contrasting black and white. There were also a selection of feminine pumps and sandals in pinstripe and velvet fabrications.
