The MTV VMAs are finally here. There’s a reason why the prestigious awards ceremony is respected by so many. Each year, the VMAs celebrate some of the biggest musical talents, and every year, the A-list guest list walks the red carpet showing up and showing off their talents when it comes to bringing out their beauty in terms of wardrobe and beauty looks.

And 2022 did not disappoint. Multiple stars were deep in their gothic era, like Lizzo, Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson, with their dark shades and dark lips. Then there was Taylor Swift’s classic red power lip; Latto’s soft glamour that we’re obsessed with; and Avril Lavigne’s orange-tinted hair. The stars came to conquer, and conquer they did.

Taylor Swift

Taylor chose a confident, bright and piercing red lip, but the XXL winged eyeliner is what really brings out those piercing blue Tay Tay eyes. The middle parted bangs give us that chic Great Gatsby element that perfectly complemented the whole look.

Avril Lavigne

Singer Avril Lavigne shined on the red carpet wearing Versace cargo pants, corset top and combat boots. The look was elevated with usual black smoky eye with some colourful rhinestones on the outer and inner corners of her eye. Rapper Singer Lil Nas X brought all the glamour and the extravaganza on the red carpet thanks to his otherworldly all-black ensemble he chose for the occasion. However, he also stood out from the rest with his beauty look. For the ceremony, he brought double-winged eyeliner with elongated green eyeliner, which extended out from his lower lash line.
