The Cannes Film Festival held May 16-27 at the iconic Palais des Festivals on the French Riviera welcomed style icons, actresses and celebrities from around the world, dressed in designer clothes fresh off the runway, sparkling jewellery pieces and sophisticated makeup and hairstyles.

The Cannes Film Festival has long been celebrated as a feast for the eyes, where stars have gone all out and adorned their couture gowns with a dazzling array of precious stones to parade down the red carpet.

From juicy coloured gemstones to delicate diamonds adorning jewellery and watches, the red carpet has witnessed some of the most glamorous and spectacular looks.

Standout moments included Alessandra Ambrosio’s intricately crafted necklace, Gigi Haid’s glorious Messika Jewelry pieces, Ethan Hawke’s diamond-studded Piaget jewellery watch and even Natalie Portman’s glittering deep blue diamond and sapphire necklace from the Chopard Red Carpet collection. Naomi Campbell exemplified the epitome of sophisticated event attire as she flawlessly coordinated her silver sequined ensemble with exquisite diamond chandelier earrings from Chopard.

ALESSANDRA AMBROSIO

Alessandra Ambrosio elevated the allure of her hooded Elie Saab dress from the brand’s autumn/winter 2005 couture collection. She enhanced her look with the breathtaking Pomellato wrap-around Skyline necklace and perfectly matched earrings. Drawing inspiration from the architectural wonders of Milan, this asymmetric necklace features a remarkable arrangement of 128 bezel-cut spinels, capturing the mesmerizing hues of the Milanese sky during sunset.

NATALIE PORTMAN

Portman elegantly showcased a necklace from Chopard’s Red Carpet Collection. The necklace was meticulously crafted with 18k Fairmined-certified white goldadorned with a remarkable array of over 119 carats of blue heart-shaped sapphires and over 36 carats of white diamonds. Portman further enhanced her ensemble by pairing the necklace with exquisite white diamond earrings and a captivating sapphire and white diamond ring.

Irina Shayk graced the red carpet, showcasing yet another awe-inspiring creation from Messika. This year, she opted for an exquisite high-jewellery Akh-Ba-Ka necklace.
