Designers take haute couture to the next level at Paris Fashion Week. Discover the 5 trends most seen on the runways.

Haute Couture Week is held in Paris twice a year, showcasing the best of the fashion industry, with renowned designers presenting the best of their Haute Couture collections and leaving the public and guest stars in awe. And, with the start of the Spring Summer 2023 shows, there has been nothing but an abundance of glamour and the highest forms of craftsmanship.
This season’s calendar began with Schiaparelli and Dior and ended with Fendi followed by Armani, Chanel and Valentino. All gave a lesson in style with their amazing designs, and not only this but also gave birth to the trends that emerged on the runways that were and will be all the rage in 2023.
Daniel Roseberry kicked off the Schiaparelli house, marking the beginning of an extravagant and fanciful fashion week in Paris. Influenced by Dante’s Inferno, he presented everything from velvet column dresses and mirrored sequins to large animal heads that looked very realistic. “This collection is my homage to doubt,” he explained. Meanwhile, Fendi opted for a beautifully delicate collection of translucent and diaphanous dresses, with an emphasis on luminosity and wearability. Large earrings, tulle and metallics were the protagonists. The latter was one of the most seen fashion trends: metallic fabrics, where brands, such as Dior, Paco Rabanne and Jean Paul Gaultier offered their own touch in their striking finish.
From textures with rhinestones at Dior to exaggerated necklines, as seen at Valentino and Schiaparelli, we leave you with our favourite trends from Haute Couture Week Spring Summer 2023.
