Jimmy Choo and Mugler’s New Shoe Capsule Collection

The collection features sculptural, striking shoes combining the fierce and fabulous aesthetic of Mugler with Jimmy Choo’s feminine elegance and shoemaking prowess.

The well-known shoe brand Jimmy Choo has teamed up with Mugler and its creative director, Casey Cadwallader to bring the collaboration they never knew they always needed.

The campaign has been shot by Harley Weir featuring models Sora Choi, Eartheater and Aweng Chuol. Styling has been in charge of Haley Wollens and Sandra Choi, and production by Partner Films.

“Mugler and Jimmy Choo are about strength—our women are strong, glamorous and in control,” the accessory brand’s creative director Sandra Choi explains about their new joint venture. The notion extends to the campaign. “Here, our women are literally the centre of every image: they are the stars. That these images are captured by a female photographer also adds an extra dimension. Harley’s work always celebrates femininity, a view of women by a woman. There’s an inherent strength to that, which is very Mugler, and quintessentially Jimmy Choo.”

“There is an inherent connection between the language of Mugler and the language of Jimmy Choo,” Says Sandra Choi, Creative Director at Jimmy Choo. “Our roots in the ‘90s, the resonance they have today with a younger generation, but the drive to update, to redesign and not just revive.” She adds.

Black, nude and neon yellow are the main colour palette. As for the details, there is a lot of PVC, mesh and cutouts.
