Following this season’s Haute Couture shows in Paris, we show you a set of stunning beauty looks that tore up the runways.

As the Fall/Winter 2022 couture runway shows come to a close, our eyes are honestly focused more on the hair, makeup and manicure than the elaborate gowns.

Luckily, the couture runway shows are already giving us some great beauty inspiration to consider. Simple, affordable makeup trends that we can’t wait to try are also appearing on the runways such as braids, manicures and eyeliners. We have seen them at Dior and Chanel, Stéphane Rolland and Giambattista Valli. Brands have shown stunning makeup and hairstyles on the runways. Some are a bit simple while others extravagant – especially created for those who like extravagance, art and glamour.

Moreover, beauty looks have been recreated at the latest Alexis Mabille Fall-Winter fashion show, offering freshly bitten berry coloured lips. Zuhair Murad proposes the quilted “gym lips” and Elie Saab presents his iridescent coat of shimmering flakes. Pink powdered cheeks have been seen at Viktor & Rolf.

It seems the hair and makeup stylists have been taking the opportunity to showcase their creativity once again, dreaming up a series of artistic and creative looks to complement the otherworldly clothes sent down the runway. For instance, Iris van Herpen has teamed up with nail artist Eichi Matsunaga, known for his intensely detailed three-dimensional nail art and for a mesmerizing prismatic blue water droplet ensemble. Giambattista Valli has shown minimal ponytail braid at his last runway show.

SCHIAPARELLI

Pat McGrath conjured up striking glamour for Schiaparelli—presenting the perfect picture of vintage beauty: a bold red lip and smoky winged eye.

Chanel

The larger hair bow has always been loved by Chanel. A sure way to inject your look with elegance and fun.

Viktor&Rolf

A three-dimensional, brightly colored version is where Viktor&Rolf is at, with bright red lips paired with icy blue shadow and pink-covered lashes.

Fendi

The eyes attracted all the attention, with makeup choices ranging from models with varying degrees of glitter to simple wet-look lids and a subtle incandescent gloss on the lips.

Iris Van Harpen

At Iris van Herpen, a combination of bright eye appliqués and on-trend bleached brows made the latest statement, along with the futuristic theme of the collection.

Zuhair Murad

At Zuhair Murad, they recreate the “gym lip” look by lining your lips with a nude liner that matches your natural color and covering it with a balm.

Elie Saab

Elie Saab’s makeup that we have been seen in during the show gave much to talk about thanks to its incredible finishes and colour choices.

Alexis Mabille

Alexis Mabille proposed elegant finishes updo with liberal embellishment for a regal touch.
